Services

One-on-one consulting

We are thrilled to provide you with a range of consultation options including on-site visits, video calls, or phone consultations, each beginning with an initial consultation followed by subsequent check-ins. As experienced Medical Nutrition Therapists, we are dedicated to offering exceptional support as you work towards achieving your wellness goals.

For those with chronic illnesses including autoimmune diseases, IBD, RA, MS, etc., allergies or asthma, or chronic diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes or Heart disease, or other conditions requiring more individualized care, our one-on-one services are the ideal choice.

Although research on the link between dietary choices and lifestyle and chronic disease is well-established, each of us has unique lifestyles and requirements, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. That’s why our personalized approach is tailored to your specific needs, offering the time and attention necessary to achieve your goals.

Individualized meal plans

Meal plans can be used as a valuable tool for achieving success when making lifestyle changes, reaching goals, or adhering to a therapeutic diet. While we believe that meal plans alone seldom offer long-term benefits, they can help establish routine, healthier habits, and confidence in selecting meal ideas, in grocery shopping, and meal preparation.

By providing structure and guidance, meal plans can facilitate in the implementation of elimination diets (often required initially for specific treatment plans), can facilitate in the process of adopting a healthier way of eating, and can support you in achieving your wellness goals.

If you are interested in a meal plan to help you move through a program, we will create a plan tailored to your needs. Options include a 3-day, 1-week, or 2-week plan.

Programs

'Restoring Metabolic Health' Program

Are you feeling sluggish and fatigued, unable to lose weight, or uncomfortable in your own body? Are you experiencing constipation or suffering from poor sleep? Is stress taking a toll on your overall well-being? All of these concerns are linked to poor metabolic health. Although 'metabolism' has become a buzzword these days, many people are unsure of what it means and how to restore a healthy metabolism.

By addressing the underlying physiological factors affecting your metabolic health including poor gut health, poor mitochondrial health, and insulin resistance, for example, we can help you achieve your wellness goals and feel your best.

Metabolism is a complex process that involves converting the foods we eat into nutrients and compounds needed for optimal physiological functioning at (and below) the cellular level. Any metabolic imbalances can affect our cells, tissues, and organs, including our brain, our liver, and our heart, etc., leading to a range of symptoms including brain fog, joint pain, and exhaustion, and chronic metabolic conditions such as neurodegeneration (Alzheimer’s), Fatty liver disease (NAFLD), Type 2 Diabetes, Heart disease and even autoimmune diseases.

Our 5 step program focuses on each area of metabolism to improve your health and wellness significantly. Clients who have undergone this program report a better understanding of their body’s needs, and a confidence in living a healthy lifestyle that promotes metabolic health and long-term well-being.

What’s included in the program?

  • Alzheimer’s Disease

'Healing IBS and IBS-Like Symptoms' Program

IBS can be a challenging condition to manage, and it's often used as a diagnosis when no structural issues (such as ulcers, a hernia, etc.) have been found to explain digestive symptoms such as bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, stomach pain, and cramping, etc. The underlying causes and triggers of IBS symptoms can be complex and varied. This programs helps you identify and treat the causes of IBS effectively. With the right approach, IBS is treatable in most cases.

Whether you’ve been officially diagnosed with IBS or not, if you’re living with symptoms of IBS, our program is designed to help you find relief. By understanding the root causes of your IBS symptoms, you can regain control of your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

This 3-step approach targets the underlying issues causing your symptoms – stress/anxiety, gut-brain axis disconnection, poor gut health, etc. – so you can feel confident in implementing a balanced and nutrient-rich diet and enjoying your favourite foods without worrying about severe digestive symptoms or being caught without access to a bathroom while dining out or at work.

Managing Your Autoimmune Disease

Autoimmune diseases are among the most complex and challenging conditions to manage. First, there is no one-size-fits-all approach or solution, and second, the goal of treatment is to stop further progression while reducing symptoms to improve quality of life. Nutrition and lifestyle changes can help you better remain in a state of remission and can be used to drive you out of a flare-up as well. Nutrition and lifestyle management can offer much-needed symptom relief.

Our program is designed to help you manage your autoimmune condition through a tailored approach that addresses your unique needs and concerns, empowering you to take control of your health and well-being.

We follow a specific outline backed by the latest research on dietary wellness and lifestyle’s role in autoimmune diseases.

This 3-5 step program aims to reach the root causes of autoimmune diseases – epigenetics, dysbiosis, intestinal permeability (leaky gut), and systemic inflammation.

This program may benefit those with autoimmune diseases including:

  • IBD – Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Hashimoto’s and Grave’s
  • Ankylosing Spondylitis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Type 1 Diabetes
  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Healing GERD From The Root Cause

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) affects 20-25% of North Americans and can significantly impact one's quality of life. While acid inhibitors and Proton Pump Inhibitor’s (PPI’s) are commonly prescribed, they only address symptoms and long-term use can cause side effects such as gut bacteria dysbiosis, nutrient malabsorption, and increased risk of low bone mass density and osteoporosis.

Our program effectively treats GERD at its root cause by assessing the history of its onset, eliminating triggers and potential dietary sensitivities/allergies, strengthening the esophageal sphincter, healing upper GI damage, and improving digestion to reduce GERD occurrence. As overweight and obesity are also root causes of GERD, a focus on overall healthy dietary intake and weight management may be necessary.
